Lace Patterned Easter Eggs!

Tis' the season of coloring easter eggs!
We wanted to try a little different way to dye some eggs,
something more our style!

We are both obsessed with lace.
Lace in all forms! So why not give our eggs a lace pattern!

We did ours a couple different ways.
Some with just strips of lace and some completely covered!

HOW TO:
Wrap your lace around the egg EXTREMELY TIGHT.
Twist and fasten with an elastic.
(We used mini hair elastics!)

Dip egg into your dye.
*DISCLAIMER: Regular dye WILL NOT work!
Trust us, we tried it. :)
In order to get the pattern of the lace to show through you MUST
use vinegar and boiling water!
We made our dye with 2TBS vinegar, food coloring of our choice, and boiling water (enough to fully sub-merge your egg.)

Let sit in dye a good 4-5 minutes.

And then simply snip off your lace!

We thought these were cute, and a little different than your traditional egg dying traditions!

Any of you have cute, DIFFERENT ways you've dyed eggs?!?!

Including two pics and the link back to this post. It's a great way to show how fabric can be included and utilized in Easter DIY projects!
